Gareth Johnson (Pig)
Information Librarian for physical and biological sciences, and the Leicester Research Archive Manager at the David Wilson Library, University of Leicester. He has project management experience working for the JISC funded SHERPA Plus, OpenDOAR and Repository Support Projects at the University of Nottingham; and at the University of Warwick’s Research & Innovation Unit. He has professional interests in information literacy, open access, scholarly communication, visual media and exploitation of Web 2.0 resources.
Sarah Whittaker (Pig)
Information Librarian at the Clinical Sciences Library, University of Leicester. She has recently been involved in an innovative project to embed information literacy in a Medical Ethics, Law and Human Rights module course using web 2.0. She supports the Departments of Cell Physiology and Pharmacology, Cardiovasular Sciences, Physiotherapy and elements of the Medical School.
Selina Lock (Pig)
Information Librarian for the Sciences, at the University of Leicester. She was one of the project leaders who oversaw the creation, and usability testing, of the library’s Subject Rooms Portal. Her professional interests include information literacy, research support, teaching and learning, and the use of Web 2.0 technologies. She currently supports the Departments of Computer Science, Mathematics and Engineering.
Joanne Dunham (Chicken)
Head of Collections and Information Systems at the David Wilson Library, University of Leicester. She is responsible for the sections relating to acquisitions and ICT, and has been involved recently in coordinating a Web 2.0 project with between the Library and the Department of Biology.
Alan Cann (Pig)
Research scientist (virologist) has more than 15 years experience of online learning. In recent years, he has worked intensively with Web 2.0 technologies in order to stimulate and inspire students, and to investigate the most appropriate ways in which these may be used to support researchers.
Joanne Badge (Pig)
Web Resources Development Officer in the School of Biological Sciences at University of Leicester, providing support to academic staff for online teaching. She has a Ph.D. in molecular plant virology, and has worked for JISC as the Resource Guide Advisor for Health and Life Sciences promoting subject-specific JISC electronic resources to staff and students in UK HEIs.
